About Pierre-Martin Francois

Professional Philosophy & Journey

My name is Pierre Martin, and my work is grounded in both intellectual discipline and personal conviction. I am a graduate student in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, a field focused on applying psychological science to improve workplace environments, human behavior, and organizational effectiveness. My interest in psychology comes from a deeper desire to understand how individuals think, act, and interact—and how that understanding can be used to promote healthier, more balanced lives.

My approach to consultation is shaped not only by academic training, but by a strong ethical and philosophical foundation. I view psychology as a tool for insight and growth—not manipulation, and not a replacement for personal values or belief systems. In my own life, faith and moral principles guide how I live, while psychology provides practical methods to better understand behavior, manage challenges, and relate to others with greater awareness.

Through my studies and experiences, I have developed a deeper sense of patience, self-awareness, and humility. Understanding human development—from childhood through adulthood—has strengthened my ability to remain grounded, manage expectations, and approach situations with clarity rather than reaction. This perspective allows me to help others navigate their own challenges with thoughtful, balanced guidance.

Education, Experience & Professional Capability

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Thomas University and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Organizational Sciences (Industrial-Organizational Psychology) at Florida International University . My academic training emphasizes research methods, psychological statistics, personnel selection, and workplace psychology, equipping me with a strong foundation in evidence-informed decision-making.

Professionally, I have experience applying behavioral principles in real-world settings. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), I implement structured behavior intervention plans, track data, and support skill development in areas such as communication, emotional regulation, and social functioning . This role has strengthened my ability to observe behavior objectively, apply interventions responsibly, and adapt strategies based on measurable outcomes.

In addition, my background includes roles in security and community environments, where I developed strong situational awareness, communication skills, and the ability to maintain calm, structured responses under pressure . I have also contributed to academic research projects involving data analysis, behavioral studies, and psychological applications in modern contexts such as media influence and perception.

Beyond formal roles, I have been actively involved in community service, faith-based initiatives, and mentorship environments, all of which have shaped my interpersonal approach and commitment to ethical service. I am fluent in English, French, and Creole, allowing me to work effectively across diverse populations and cultural contexts .
